Amphitheater

Built at the end of the first century A.D., the arena has a capacity of twenty thousand people. The monument has the shape of an ellipse 133-meter long and 101-meter large. Its outer façade is 21-meter high, composed of two levels of arcades and divided in 60 bays. The amphitheater is a historic listed monument since 1840.

Commissioned to enhance the main gallery on the ground floor, the proposals include a new design of the pavement inspired by the archeological investigations on the premises.
